Clausen Has Been Taken by Panthers in NFL Draft’s 2nd Round
University of Notre's Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the National Football League draft. Clausen, the third quarterback has been chosen in the draft. He was the 48th overall pick. The University of Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford was the No. 1 pick by the St. Louis Rams. McCoy led Texas to the national championship game against Alabama last season, before suffering a pinched nerve in his right shoulder in the first quarter that benched him for the remainder of the Longhorns’ 37-21 loss. As previously Clausen was the 16th selection in the second round held today at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The first round was held yesterday and rounds four through seven are set for tomorrow.
